I am the Subject Associate Head of Department in charge of the Organisation Studies group in the Business School. We are a group of over 30 academics who provide teaching/facilitation on subjects including Leadership and Management, Change, Organisational Behaviour, Coaching and Mentoring, Group Development and Creative Management Methods. We also provide the staff for Team Entrepreneurships and ILM 5 and 7 courses in Leadership and Management and Coaching and Mentoring.
My areas of expertise are in range of areas focused on Organisational Behaviour. I teach Change Management and run units on the ILM 5 programmes on Motivation, Team Development and Leadership. I am in charge of the ILM 7 Leadership and Management programme. I have delivered the ILM 5 units for The Hire Association of Europe, Swindon Leadership Academy and on the open courses. The ILM 7 programme has been used by a range of local and National organisations in the private, public and third sector including UWE, Nonwovenn and the CITB.
Before becoming an academic I was a successful school teacher for 18 years. I wrote my PhD on the use of professionalism as a means of the management control of school teachers.
